A Respectful Place for People, Communities, and Meaningful Content

Pintree is built to help people connect with others, participate in communities, share ideas, discover content, and communicate meaningfully.

These Community Guidelines explain what is expected from everyone using Pintree, what content and behavior are allowed, what is restricted or prohibited, and how Pintree may respond when these Guidelines are violated.

These Guidelines apply to Personal Accounts, Community Accounts, Professional Accounts, posts, comments, Rooms, events, profiles, messages where applicable, and other content or interactions on Pintree.

They should be read together with the Pintree Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. The Purpose of Pintree

Pintree supports three primary ways of using the platform:

1.1 Personal Use

Personal Accounts are for individuals who want to:

Connect with friends and people they know.
Share personal experiences, photos, thoughts, opinions, and life events.
Participate in communities.
Join discussions and Rooms.
Discover content and communities based on their interests.
Follow people, communities, and Professional Accounts.
Participate in respectful discussions about topics that matter to them.

Personal use does not mean that everything a person posts is automatically acceptable. Personal Accounts must still follow these Guidelines.

1.2 Community Purpose

Community Accounts are intended for groups, organizations, institutions, associations, clubs, educational groups, faith communities, cultural groups, interest groups, networks, and similar collective purposes.

Communities can be used to:

Share information relevant to the community.
Publish official community posts.
Create Rooms for member discussions.
Organize events and schedules.
Share announcements and updates.
Encourage constructive discussion among members.
Build a genuine space around a shared purpose or interest.

Community administrators and moderators are responsible for making reasonable efforts to keep their communities organized, relevant, and compliant with these Guidelines.

A community must not be created primarily to spread hate, promote violence, harass people, deceive users, or organize prohibited activity.

1.3 Professional Use

Professional Accounts are intended for creators, public figures, businesses, brands, news and media organizations, professionals, service providers, and other eligible professional identities.

Professional Accounts may use Pintree to:

Publish professional or public-interest content.
Share information about products, services, work, or activities.
Build an audience.
Communicate with their followers and communities.
Publish news, educational, informational, or entertainment content.
Provide legitimate promotional or business information.
Participate in relevant communities and discussions.

Professional status does not provide an exception to these Guidelines.

Professional Accounts are responsible for ensuring that their identity, claims, promotions, and published information are not intentionally deceptive or misleading.

2. Our Community Values

Pintree expects everyone to contribute to an environment based on:

Respect — Treat people and communities with dignity.
Honesty — Use authentic identities and do not deliberately deceive others.
Responsibility — Consider the effect of what you publish or share.
Constructive participation — Disagree with ideas without attacking people.
Community harmony — Differences in religion, culture, language, nationality, caste, background, or political opinion should not be used to promote hatred or hostility.
Safety — Do not use Pintree to threaten, exploit, abuse, or endanger others.
Accountability — Community and Professional Account owners are responsible for the content and activity they manage.

Pintree welcomes different opinions and perspectives. Respectful disagreement is part of a healthy community.

3. Content and Behavior That Are Not Allowed

The following content or behavior is prohibited.

3.1 Hate Speech, Discrimination and Dehumanization

You must not attack, dehumanize, or promote hatred against a person or group based on characteristics such as:

Religion or belief
Caste
Race or ethnicity
Nationality or national origin
Gender
Disability
Sexual orientation
Other protected or comparable personal characteristics

Examples include:

Calling for a group to be harmed, expelled, attacked, or eliminated.
Describing a group as less than human.
Encouraging discrimination or violence against a group.
Promoting hostility between religious, cultural, caste, ethnic, or national communities.
Creating content intended to turn one community against another.

Discussion of differences is allowed. Hatred, dehumanization, discrimination, and incitement are not.

3.2 Threats, Harassment and Bullying

Do not:

Threaten another person with violence or harm.
Repeatedly target or harass another user.
Intimidate or blackmail users.
Encourage others to attack or harass someone.
Publish private information with the intention of causing harm.
Organize harassment campaigns.
Use comments, Rooms, or communities to repeatedly abuse another person.

Disagreement, criticism, and negative opinions are allowed when expressed without threats or targeted abuse.

3.3 Sexual and Explicit Content

Pintree does not allow:

Pornographic content.
Sexually explicit images or videos.
Explicit sexual material intended for sexual gratification.
Sexual exploitation.
Sexual content involving minors.
Sexualized content involving minors.
Promotion of sexual exploitation or trafficking.

Any content involving child sexual exploitation is prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.

3.4 Violence, Terrorism and Dangerous Activities

Do not use Pintree to:

Encourage or organize violence.
Threaten people or communities with physical harm.
Glorify serious acts of violence.
Promote terrorism or violent extremist activity.
Provide instructions intended to facilitate serious violent wrongdoing.
Encourage dangerous criminal activity.
Encourage or glorify self-harm.

Documentary, educational, historical, journalistic, or awareness-related discussion of violence may be allowed where it does not promote or glorify the harmful activity.

3.5 Illegal Activities, Fraud and Scams

Pintree must not be used to facilitate or promote:

Financial scams.
Phishing.
Identity theft.
Fraudulent investment schemes.
Fake giveaways.
Pyramid or deceptive schemes.
Money laundering.
Extortion or blackmail.
Sale or distribution of illegal goods or services.
Other unlawful activities.

Do not use Pintree to deliberately deceive users for financial or personal gain.

3.6 Impersonation and Deceptive Identity

Do not:

Pretend to be another person.
Create a fake account representing another individual.
Impersonate a public figure, celebrity, organization, business, or brand.
Misrepresent your professional affiliation.
Use verification information belonging to someone else.
Deliberately create a profile designed to deceive users about who operates it.

Parody, commentary, fan, or discussion communities may be allowed when they are clearly presented so that users are not reasonably misled into believing that they are the official account.

3.7 Misinformation and Deceptive Content

Pintree allows opinions, commentary, predictions, satire, and discussion.

However, users must not intentionally create or distribute false information in a manner designed to deceive or cause serious harm.

Examples of prohibited behavior may include:

Deliberately presenting fabricated information as verified fact.
Creating fake emergency information.
Deliberately spreading false information that could cause serious physical or public harm.
Manipulating documents or images to deceive people about important events.
Using fabricated claims to commit fraud.

News and informational content

News, current affairs, political information, public-interest information, and commentary are allowed.

Users and Professional Accounts that publish news or informational content should make reasonable efforts to distinguish:

Verified information.
Personal opinion.
Commentary or analysis.
Unconfirmed reports.

Mistakes do not automatically constitute a violation. Intent, context, severity, and potential harm may be considered when reviewing misleading content.

4. Politics and Public Affairs

Pintree allows healthy and lawful political discussion.

Users may:

Discuss political parties and candidates.
Express political opinions.
Discuss government policies.
Debate legislation and public issues.
Share political news and commentary.
Support or criticize political ideas or policies.
Discuss elections and public affairs.
Participate in respectful political debates.

Different political opinions are expected on a platform used by diverse communities.

However, political content must follow the same safety rules as all other content.

Do not use political discussion to:

Promote hatred against a protected group.
Encourage violence.
Threaten political opponents.
Dehumanize people based on political or other protected characteristics.
Deliberately impersonate candidates, officials, organizations, or media.
Coordinate harassment against individuals.
Spread deliberately fabricated information intended to cause serious harm.
Encourage unlawful activity.

Pintree does not require users to agree with one another. The requirement is to participate responsibly and respectfully.

5. Religion, Faith and Belief

Pintree welcomes religious and non-religious perspectives.

Users and Communities may share:

Religious teachings.
Prayers and spiritual content.
Religious celebrations and events.
Scriptures and educational material.
Personal beliefs.
Religious history.
Interfaith discussions.
Questions and respectful criticism of religious ideas.

However:

Allowed

Discussing differences between religions.
Explaining one's own beliefs.
Respectfully questioning religious ideas.
Religious debates.
Sharing religious events and community activities.
Interfaith dialogue.

Not Allowed

Hate speech against believers or non-believers.
Dehumanizing another religion or belief group.
Calls for violence.
Threats against religious communities.
Promoting discrimination or persecution.
Content intended to create hostility or separation between communities.
Forced or coercive conversion.
Harassment based on religion or belief.

You may disagree with a belief. You may not use that disagreement as a reason to attack, threaten, dehumanize, or discriminate against people.

6. Caste, Culture, Language and Community Identity

Pintree allows people to discuss their:

Cultural identity.
Caste and social history.
Language.
Traditions.
Heritage.
Community history.
Regional identity.
Festivals and cultural events.

Communities may be created around legitimate cultural, linguistic, educational, historical, or social interests.

However, users must not use these identities to:

Promote superiority of one group over another.
Encourage discrimination.
Promote hatred.
Dehumanize another community.
Encourage exclusion or violence.
Create hostility between communities.

Pintree supports community identity and cultural diversity, not hatred or separation.

7. Relationships, Friendship and Personal Discussions

Pintree is not a dating platform.

Personal Accounts may nevertheless discuss:

Friendship.
Family.
Marriage.
Relationships.
Personal experiences.
Social life.
Emotional experiences.
General relationship advice.

Such discussions must remain respectful and appropriate for the platform.

Do not use Pintree for:

Sexual solicitation.
Sexual exploitation.
Harassment.
Unwanted repeated advances.
Sharing another person's private relationship information without permission.
Sexual content prohibited under these Guidelines.
Deceptive relationship-based financial scams.

8. Personal Content and Everyday Sharing

Personal Accounts may share genuine everyday content, including:

Photos.
Personal updates.
Life events.
Experiences.
Opinions.
Hobbies.
Interests.
Polls.
Long-form posts or blogs.
Educational or informational posts.
Family or community-related updates, where appropriate.

Users should respect the privacy of other people appearing in their content.

Do not publish another person's private information, photographs, documents, or personal communications in a way that violates their privacy or causes harm.

9. Communities and Community Administration

Communities should have a genuine and identifiable purpose.

Community administrators should:

Clearly describe the purpose of the community.
Keep content relevant to the community.
Moderate abusive or prohibited behavior.
Respond appropriately to serious reports.
Use Rooms for constructive member discussions.
Avoid misleading community descriptions.
Avoid creating communities solely for spam or manipulation.

Communities must not be created primarily for:

Hate or harassment.
Fraud or scams.
Illegal activity.
Coordinated abuse.
Violence.
Impersonation.
Spam.
Manipulation of discovery or engagement systems.

Community administrators may establish additional reasonable rules for their community, provided those rules do not conflict with Pintree's Terms of Use or Community Guidelines.

10. Rooms and Discussions

Rooms are intended for focused discussions within communities.

Users may use Rooms for:

Questions and answers.
Discussions.
Polls.
Images.
Files.
Voice discussions.
Community coordination.
Topic-specific conversations.

Room participants should:

Stay reasonably relevant to the Room.
Respect other participants.
Avoid repeated spam.
Avoid personal attacks.
Avoid sharing private information about others.
Follow the rules established by the Community administrator.

Room content should not be used to organize prohibited activities or coordinate harassment.

Although Rooms may be intended for a specific community or group, users should remember that other participants may copy, save, screenshot, or share content outside the Room.

11. Events and Schedules

Events and schedules may be used for legitimate community, organizational, educational, cultural, religious, professional, or social activities.

Event information should be:

Accurate to the best of the organizer's knowledge.
Relevant to the stated event.
Not intentionally misleading.
Free from prohibited content.

Do not use Events or Schedules to organize violence, fraud, harassment, illegal activity, or other prohibited conduct.

12. Professional Accounts and Public-Facing Content

Professional Accounts have additional responsibilities because their content may reach larger audiences and may be relied upon by users.

Professional Accounts must:

Represent themselves accurately.
Use truthful business or professional information.
Avoid deceptive claims.
Clearly represent promotional content where appropriate.
Respect intellectual property rights.
Avoid fake reviews, fake engagement, or fabricated endorsements.
Ensure that published information is reasonably accurate.
Follow applicable laws relating to their business, profession, advertising, and communications.

13. Advertising, Promotion and Commercial Activity

Pintree may introduce advertising, promotional products, or other commercial features in the future.

Where such features are available, users must follow the applicable rules and disclosure requirements.

Regardless of whether an official advertising system exists, users must not use Pintree to:

Send repetitive promotional spam.
Mislead users about products or services.
Create fake offers.
Manipulate engagement using fake accounts.
Promote prohibited goods or services.
Conduct fraudulent commercial activity.

14. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Respect the intellectual property rights of others.

Do not knowingly upload or distribute:

Pirated movies, music, books, software, or other protected works.
Stolen photographs.
Copyrighted articles copied without authorization.
Paid or subscription-only material without permission.
Other protected material when you do not have the necessary rights.

You may share content when you have:

Created it yourself;
Obtained appropriate permission or rights;
Have a lawful basis to share it; or
Are otherwise permitted to do so under applicable law.

15. Spam and Manipulation

Do not manipulate Pintree's systems or other users through artificial activity.

This includes:

Repeated unwanted posting.
Excessive repetitive comments.
Automated spam.
Fake engagement.
Fake followers or accounts.
Coordinated artificial likes or reactions.
Misleading keywords.
Keyword stuffing.
Creating duplicate communities or accounts to manipulate reach.
Repeatedly reposting the same content to gain visibility.
Attempts to artificially manipulate Discovery or recommendations.

Pintree may limit the distribution of content that appears to be spammy, repetitive, misleading, or designed primarily to manipulate platform systems.

16. Discovery, Keywords and Recommendations

Pintree's Discovery features may use signals such as:

Interests.
Language.
Location information provided by users.
Community memberships.
Following and connections.
Content interactions.
Keywords.
Other relevant platform signals.

Keywords should accurately describe the content.

For example, keywords may describe:

Who the content is about.
Where something happened.
What topic it concerns.

Do not add unrelated popular keywords simply to obtain additional reach.

Attempts to manipulate Discovery through misleading keywords, artificial engagement, duplicate content, or coordinated activity may result in reduced distribution or other enforcement.

A reduction in reach does not necessarily mean that content has been removed.

17. Comments, Reactions and Interactions

Comments and replies are intended to support conversation.

Users should:

Respond to the subject being discussed.
Disagree respectfully.
Avoid personal attacks.
Avoid repeated unwanted replies.
Avoid threats and harassment.

Criticism is allowed.

Negative opinions are allowed.

Strong disagreement is allowed.

Abuse, threats, targeted harassment, hate speech, and prohibited content are not allowed.

18. Content Shared Through External Services

Pintree may allow users to share links or content from third-party services, such as YouTube.

Users are responsible for the content they choose to share.

Do not use external links to:

Distribute malware.
Conduct phishing.
Redirect users deceptively.
Promote scams.
Facilitate illegal activity.
Circumvent Pintree's safety rules.

Third-party services remain subject to their own terms and policies.

19. Privacy and Personal Information

Respect other people's privacy.

Do not publish or distribute another person's:

Private contact information.
Passwords.
Authentication information.
Private messages.
Private documents.
Financial information.
Sensitive personal information.
Personal information obtained through deception or unauthorized access.

Do not use Pintree to expose someone's private information with the intention of causing harm.

Publicly available information does not automatically mean that it is appropriate to use or redistribute it in every context.

20. Account Security and Authenticity

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

Do not:

Share account credentials unnecessarily.
Access another person's account without authorization.
Buy, sell, or transfer accounts where prohibited.
Create accounts for fraudulent purposes.
Use another person's identity.
Circumvent an account restriction by creating replacement accounts.

Pintree may require additional verification where reasonably necessary for account security, authenticity, Professional Account verification, or abuse prevention.

21. Content That May Receive Additional Review

Some content may not be automatically prohibited but may require additional review depending on its context.

This can include:

Content involving violence.
Sensitive news events.
Public-interest political discussions.
Religious disputes.
Historical material.
Documentary material.
Satire and parody.
Content involving public figures.
Content involving minors.
Content that may be educational or journalistic but contains sensitive material.

Context matters.

Pintree may consider factors such as:

The purpose of the content.
Whether it is presented as fact, opinion, satire, education, or news.
The potential for harm.
Whether the content promotes or condemns the harmful activity.
The severity and repetition of the behavior.

22. Reporting Content and Accounts

Users can report content, comments, accounts, communities, or other activity that they believe violates these Guidelines.

When reporting, provide accurate information where possible.

Do not abuse the reporting system by:

Submitting knowingly false reports.
Coordinating mass false reports against another person.
Using reports to harass users.
Repeatedly reporting content solely because you disagree with its opinion.

Pintree may take action based on reports, automated detection, moderation review, legal requirements, or other reliable information.

23. Moderation and Enforcement

Pintree may use a combination of automated systems, human review, reports, and other safety processes to identify and address violations.

Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:

No action — where the content does not violate the Guidelines.
Warning — guidance about the applicable rule.
Content removal — removal of violating content.
Feature restriction — temporary restriction of posting, commenting, messaging, or other functionality.
Community or Room action — restriction or removal of a community, Room, or related content.
Account restriction — temporary limitation of an account.
Suspension — temporary suspension of the account.
Permanent termination — permanent removal of an account or access to Pintree.

The action taken may depend on:

Severity.
Intent.
Context.
Potential harm.
Previous violations.
Frequency of violations.
Whether the behavior is continuing.
Legal or safety requirements.

Pintree does not have to follow a warning-first approach in every situation.

Serious violations, including child sexual exploitation, credible threats, severe violence, serious fraud, or other severe abuse, may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination.

24. Community and Professional Account Responsibility

Account owners and administrators may be responsible for content they publish or manage.

Community administrators should take reasonable steps to moderate their Communities and Rooms.

Professional Account owners should take reasonable care regarding the accuracy, legality, and authenticity of content they publish.

Pintree may take action against an account where repeated violations are associated with the account's operation, even when individual content has been removed previously.

25. Appeals and Review

Where an appeal or review process is available, users may request a review of certain moderation actions.

An appeal should provide relevant information explaining why the action may have been incorrect or why additional context should be considered.

Pintree may maintain restrictions or enforcement actions where the original decision remains supported by the available information.

Some actions may not be eligible for appeal where required by law, security considerations, technical limitations, or the nature of the violation.

26. What We Expect From Everyone

Before posting or sharing something on Pintree, consider:

Is it true or honestly presented?

Do not deliberately present false information as fact.

Is it respectful?

You can disagree without insulting or attacking people.

Is it relevant?

Keep communities, Rooms, comments, and discussions reasonably relevant to their purpose.

Is it safe?

Do not encourage harm, violence, abuse, fraud, or illegal activity.

Do I have the right to share it?

Respect privacy, copyright, and other people's rights.

Would I be comfortable if the content were shared outside its original context?

Even content shared in a community or Room may be copied or shared by participants.

27. Our Approach to Differences

Pintree is intended for people with different:

Political opinions.
Religious beliefs.
Cultural backgrounds.
Languages.
Communities.
Professional interests.
Personal experiences.

We do not expect everyone to agree.

A healthy platform can contain disagreement, criticism, debate, and different perspectives.

The boundary is crossed when discussion becomes hate, harassment, threats, discrimination, violence, deliberate deception, exploitation, or other prohibited behavior.

Different opinions are welcome. Harmful behavior is not.

28. Updates to These Guidelines

Pintree may update these Community Guidelines as the Platform, its features, applicable laws, and community needs evolve.

When significant changes are made, we may provide notice through the Platform or other appropriate channels.

The Last Updated date at the beginning of these Guidelines indicates when the current version became effective.
